Chance the Rapper continued his push to provide funding to local schools with a massive new donation from one of the world's biggest tech companies.
Earlier today, Chance took to Twitter to unveil that Google funded coding classes for 20 public schools in the south and west sides of Chicago with a $1M donation to his SocialWorks initiative with an addition $500K being donated towards Chicago Public Schools' CS4ALL initiative.
The money will be used to support computer science and arts programs for kids in Chicago Public Schools, according to a press release from Google, and the classes will be used to teach children technical skills for the future.
Chance has made numerous efforts over the years to give back to the city of Chicago.
The Open Mike night is put on monthly as a part of Social Works, which is Chance's Youth Empowerment Charity.
Chance once again delivers for the city of Chicago.
