Xiaomi Mi A1 rose gold colour variant launched in India

Xiaomi launches ‘Made in India’ Mi Power Bank 2i announces third manufacturing facility

This means that the Mi A1 runs a stock version of Android and not Xiaomi's custom ROM MIUI.

The Rose Gold variant of the Android One-backed Mi A1 phone will be available for buying in India from November 21 - 12:01AM - online via Mi.com/in and Flipkart, and offline via Mi Home stores, Mi Preferred Partner stores, and retail partner stores, Xiaomi announced on Monday.

Although Xiaomi showcased all three colours variants of the Mi A1 - Black, Gold and Rose Gold - at the launch, only Gold and Black variants have been sold in the country until now. According to Xiaomi, it will be receiving the Oreo update in the coming weeks.

In terms of operating system, the software updates are taken care by Google (as this is an Android One certified smartphone). The Mi A1 is a mid-range Android One device that comes with stock Android UI minus Mi UI. The device comes with a 5.5-inch IPS-LCD display bearing Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution.

The highlight of the Mi A1 is the flagship dual camera setup at the back. The company says the new variant will have 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage.

On the photography front, the Xiaomi Mi A1 sports two 12MP sensors, one wide-angle lens with a 1.25-micron pixel sensor, while one telephoto lens that is capable of delivering 2X optical zoom. The rear camera module consists of a primary 12MP wide-angle lens with an aperture of f/2.2 and a secondary 12MP telephoto lens with an aperture of f/2.6. This pairs with Mi A1's 10x digital zoom.

Elsewhere, the Xiaomi Mi A1 comes with a full metal unibody design and a rear mounted fingerprint scanner. The device is fuelled by 3080mAh battery. The main camera does support 4K video recording up to 30 frames per second and the front-facing selfie camera tops at 1080p.
