Motorola is making tablets again for some reason

After five years, Motorola returns to the tablet scene with the Moto Tab for AT&T

Following this, the brand launched another incremental update to the Xoom, called the Xoom 2, after which it's been pretty much non-existent in the tablet space. Unfortunately, the tablet was a commercial failure.

Back in 2011, Motorola unveiled the the Moto Xoom tablet, which was the first to run the tablet-optimised Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system, which meant it offered a true blue tablet experience to users.

The Moto Tab goes on sale this Friday, but you'll have to be on AT&T if you want to get your hands on it. As of now, there is no word on whether the tablet will reach the Indian market in the future.

The Lenovo Moto Tab is driven by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and has a 10.1-inch full HD display.

Entertainment is a major focus of this Android 7.1 Nougat tablet. Along with a host of AT&T applications, DirectTV and DirecTV NOW are also installed - not to mention a dedicated home screen and navigation button that take you right to "TV Mode" (aka DirecTV). Additionally, there is a kids mode, in which the children can only view curated content and approved websites, all controlled from the tablet's built-in parental tools. It comes loaded with dual speakers with Dolby Atmos and has a fingerprint sensor that allows up to 7 profiles along with USB Type C for fast charging.

In addition to the Moto Tab, Lenovo will soon introduce a stand with premium dual mics and a 3W speaker known as the Lenovo Home Assistant Pack, as well as the Lenovo Productivity Pack set of accessories which consists of a Bluetooth ThinkPad keyboard with a Touchpad mouse and case folio.

There is no word on the release outside the U.S. at this point.
