The first picture released by Mercedes is a frontal shot revealing the new car's nose and daytime running lights.
The Mercedes-Benz CLS which slots in between the E-Class and S-Class, bears the tagline, "The Original Perfected", referring to its status as the pioneer of the whole four-door coupe sensation. As expected, the vehicle appears to sport an all-new look with a more dramatic design theme than the 2018 S Class.
The new CLS teaser images shows the all-new headlamp design with boomerang-shaped LED DRLs surrounding the lamp, which is more in tune with other recent Mercedes-Benz models.

While the teaser reveals only the front portion of the new CLS, the coupe still looks interesting. The auto also gets a new diamond-pattern grille with single chrome slat and large three-point-star Mercedes-Benz logo at the centre. In a move away from the design lanuage of Merc's current saloons, the CLS is the first application of the new down-turned grille on a mainstream model. The second-gen CLS-Class just comes off a bit too soft for our taste whereas the original was a bit of a tastemaker's auto.
First of all, it is worth noting that the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class 2018 will get the 8.4 inch Comand multimedia system with enhanced display, and optionally will be offered a 12.3-inch digital dashboard, similar to the solution of the hydrogen crossover Mercedes-Benz GLC F-Cell.
The next-generation CLS is expected to be powered by new inline-six cylinder petrol and diesel engines as well as a turbocharged four-cylinder petrol on the entry-level models.
