Irsay made his comments regarding Luck's mindset 9 weeks ago and a lot has changed since then.
Kravitz wrote that former Colts coach Tony Dungy, while appearing on The Dan Patrick Show, said this about Luck's lingering shoulder problems: "I don't know what's going on there".
"Wait, it's inside Luck's head?", Patrick asked.
"I really do", Patrick said during the commercial break.
Patrick was stunned. "Wow", he said. The development shocked Dungy, who insists the Colts had planned on Luck playing most, if not all, of the season.
"Wow. I really wonder if Luck's future is in Indianapolis".
"They obviously believed it because they did nothing to prepare for him not being there", Dungy said.
The Colts will be without their star quarterback for the remainder of the year and hopefully, this will put an end to the speculation that the front office is unhappy with Luck. There are now rumors the owner is upset the quarterback never returning after Irsay believed he'd be back this season.
When that didn't relieve the pain, the Colts sent Luck to several specialists and made a decision to put him on the injured reserve list, ending his 2017 season.
"It's been said before, all sports is played on a 4-inch field between your ears", Irsay, according to Kravitz, said on August 13.

Former Indianapolis Colts coach Tony Dungy speaks as owner Jim Irsay looks on during a halftime ceremony to present his Pro Football Hall of Fame ring during the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Lucas Oil Stadium on November 24, 2016.
The Colts acquired New England Patriots third-string quarterback Jacoby Brissett via trade just before their season opener but they've struggled, going 2-6 so far this season.
The Colts are now on pace for another high draft pick in the 2018 NFL Draft so it's always possible history could once again repeat itself in Indianapolis.
