Jeffrey Tambor Denies Sexual-Harassment Claim as Amazon Launches an Investigation

Jeffrey Tambor

"I am aware that a former disgruntled assistant of mine has made a private post implying that I had acted in an improper manner toward her", he said in a statement to Deadline.

After a nasty spate of harassment allegations including former Amazon Studios chief Roy Price, Mashable has confirmed that Amazon is investigating actor Jeffrey Tambor for allegations of sexual harassment.

Amazon is conducting an investigation amid sexual harassment accusations posed against Jeffrey Tambor, TheWrap has learned from an individual with knowledge of the situation. According to Deadline, the investigation into her claims began earlier this week, and it will involve speaking directly with Transparent production staff as well as Tambor.

Amazon says it's interviewing "Transparent" cast and crew, including Tambor.

The star continued saying he was "appalled and distressed" by Barnes "baseless allegation".

Barnes appeared in one episode of the series, as well as on Caitlyn Jenner's E! reality series "I Am Cait". Amazon is now in the process of speaking to those involved in the production of Transparent, the award-winning show that stars Tambor.

In mid-October, The Hollywood Reporter published an interview with Isa Hackett - daughter of author Philip K. Dick and executive producer of Amazon series Man in the High Castle - in which she alleged Price propositioned her at San Diego Comic-Con in 2015.
