Grammy Award-winning rapper and actress Eve is adding talk show host to her resume by officially joining CBS' daytime talk show "The Talk".
She had previously appeared as a guest co-host on "The Talk" during the week of October 30.
"We are thrilled to welcome Eve to the table as she brings a fun and fresh perspective to our already diverse panel", said Angelica McDaniel, CBS" executive VP of daytime, in a statement. She previously guest-hosted the week of October 30, and joins Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood.
Though the 39-year-old Pennsylvania native now resides in London with her husband, British entrepreneur Maximillion Copper, and her four stepchildren, the decision to join the Daytime Emmy Award-winning talk show was simple. "I feel like the first day of school".
The "Satisfaction" MC will join hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, and Sheryl Underwood, replacing comedian Aisha Tyler, who announced her departure in June and made her last appearance during the season seven finale this August. I started recording a few months ago. "Us four ladies of The Talk are going on many dates with many other women just to see who is the right fit", she revealed.
"It is a new career move for me", Eve tells Variety. And the plan was, before this opportunity came up, was to put out some music, which I still plan to do soon.
