Karin Dor, the German actor who played Bond girl Helga Brandt in You Only Live Twice, has died aged 79.
In her later years, Dor had veered towards German theatre and did minimal films. She was married three times: one of her husbands was George Robotham, a US stunt-director, from 1988 until his death in 2007.
German news agency dpa, citing a Munich theater where Dor had worked for a long time, reported late Wednesday that she died Monday in a care home.
Bond fans will recall her character initially kidnapping 007 before being seduced by the British spy - an act that sees Brandt fed to a pool of piranhas by the villainous Blofeld.
