The picture is now dividing the internet with a split of colour perception.
Facebook user Nicole Coulthard discovered a screenshot of the trainer and wanted to ask the internet which colours they could see.
In a post to Facebook group Girlsmouth, Nicole wrote: "Ok girls, so my friend has just sent me this asking what colour the shoe is". Please tell me, is it pink or white.
Within the space of an hour, the post had gained 1,000 comments and caused a serious debate.
Here in the Closer Online office, we are VERY torn - most of us are seeing turquoise laces on a grey shoe, but a couple of people have seen pink trainer and white laces.
"I swear I looked at this while I was out it and it was grey and turquoise".
The troublesome trainers have already amassed over thousands of comments from baffled users and just like with the now infamous dress, people can't seem to decide the true colour of the footwear. She told me that she cannot decide what color these shoes are gray with turquoise laces, or pink with white.
"I see both", another said.
She also noted that her friend had bought the shoes a few weeks ago and sent a photo of his mother.
"She texted back saying they are pink mum, but when she looked at the pic she saw blue too", Coulthard said.
This debate will certainly remind several internet users about the dress that became a sensation in 2015.
Remember the dress that sent everyone insane over whether it was white and gold or blue and black?
If you would like to join Girlsmouth in guessing which colour the trainers are, you can do so by joining their group.
Many viewers of the dress thought it was black and blue, but some argued that it was white and gold. Let us know over on Facebook and Twitter.
