The mother of slain Officer Charleston Hartfield died just two days after her son's funeral, which was held on Friday.

Her family, however, believe she died from a broken heart after losing her son.

Hartfield, was one of 58 people killed October 1 when a gunman fired on an outdoor country musical festival from the 32nd floor of a Las Vegas hotel in the deadliest mass shooting in modern American history.

National Youth Sports coach Charleston Hartfield was a member of the Nevada National Guard and an off-duty Metro Police officer when he was killed at the Route 91 Harvest Festival concert.

Stiles' brother, Lewis, said that his sister had high blood pressure and diabetes, two illnesses which run in the family, but the grieving mother also had not been doing very well emotionally.

Sheryl was put on life support, but the Clark County Coroner confirmed that she died two days later, after suffering from pulmonary arrest and acute cardio infarction.

"We came to bury my nephew and the next thing we know, I have to bury my sister", said the woman's distraught brother, Cecil Ralston.

More than 2,000 mourners paid their respects at his Friday funeral.

"She was on the escalator and she had a heart attack", said Ralston. He was staying with Ralston and wasn't with her at the time of her fall.

"It was a real nice service, but it has been hard", Lewis Stiles told Las Vegas television station KTNV of his nephew's funeral. "She was standing there looking at me", Stiles told KTLA.

Now the man who accompanied his sister for support, is remembering her with love, while trying to find a way to get her back home. "She was a lively person who had a lot of good friends that enjoyed her company".

Hartfield was laid to rest on Friday.

A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help cover expenses associated with cremating Stiles' body and then sending her ashes to Kentucky, where most of her relatives live.
