In November and December 2017, two Nemesis Expansions will be released, adding new orc tribes to Middle-earth: Shadow of War.
Players can hunt down Legendary Slaughter tribe Orcs for a new Legendary gear set with additional upgrade challenges. What you should know is that Slaughter Orcs are the most vicious in Mordor, capable of ambushing players at any point.
The Outlaw Tribe Nemesis expansion adds similar content to the game as the Slaughter Tribe DLC, except missions, Orcs and the fortress revolve around the rebellious Outlaw tribe of Orcs. The Blade of Galadriel Story Expansion lets you play as Eltariel, an elite assassin known as the Blade of Galadriel. There will also be free content updates for all players. The upcoming content includes new Orc tribes and story campaigns. Fighting alongside Dwarven Hunter Torvin, the premise of this story involves warding off an Orc threat off to the East by hiring mercenaries and fighting against unsafe threats without the aid of a Ring or wraith. This time, Baranor. As him, you'll be commanding the forces of Man against a new Orc threat from the East. You'll also be able to unlock her as a skin to use during the campaign. There are a lot of new mechanics introduced in this expansion such as teaming up with Torvin, a Dwarven Hunter, to craft new gear. The most sizable addition to the game adding a new land, Lithlad, that you'll get to conquer with a human army.
Fight to survive in Mordor as a human without the power of a Ring or a wraith to cheat death in a new rogue-like campaign mode.
The remaining two expansions are story campaigns that will launch in 2018.
While Middle-earth: Shadow of War found itself in a bit of a controversy given its reliance on loot boxes and microtransactions, and some reviewers found it a little disappointing (relative to expectations - see our review), it sure seems as if players are taking a liking to it.
In other Shadow of War news, an infographic featuring player stats has surfaced and there are some interesting numbers. These folks have forced 3.3 billion orcs to join the choir invisible, and in the first week along dominated 193 million of the creatures.
