The new trailer for Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon focuses on the two new forms of Necrozma and its powerful new Z-moves. Earlier, we learned via Corocoro leaks that Solgaleo and Lunala, as taken over by Necrozma, would have exclusive Z-Moves usable in both forms.
To start, both Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma have a new move called Photo Geyser, and each get their own Z-Move to go with it that is also usable as Solgaleo and Lunala. Once evolved, Dusk Mane Necrozma earns the Z-Move Searing Sunraze Smash, which has the creature warping its enemy through a wormhole before tumbling down a blazing column of light.
The latest Pokemon title is set to arrive for the Nintendo 3DS in about a month, bringing with it many new features and enhancements from its predecessor.
In the game, the more Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon players communicate with Rotom Dex, the more helpful it will become to the player. The abilities will be unlocked via a "Roto Loto" feature that gives out the abilities at random. Considering how players will be able to use two Z-Moves after bonding with Rotom, catching one of them might break the single-player campaign. These items will have such powers as increasing the amount of experience the player's Pokémon get from battles, increasing the speed at which Eggs hatch, increasing the amount of prize money the player gets from winning battles and more.
It's not clear yet whether the Rotom friendship will affect non-story encounters like the Battle Tree or online modes, but if it does, the combination of Z-Moves would mean a huge shake-up to the balance of the game.
Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon come out on November 17 for the 3DS.
