There is some speculation that OnePlus will release a new handset in the next couple of months, potentially a OnePlus 5T or even a OnePlus 6. SlashLeaks has posted the leaked image of the OnePlus 5T on their Twitter account, though as with all leaks, it needs to be taken with a pinch of salt. The OnePlus 5 too, ahead of its launch also experienced several leaks.

It is being speculated that the OnePlus 5T will sport a much larger screen than the now available OnePlus 5. On the contradictory, there are reports that the OnePlus 5T could be canceled as the company might launch the OnePlus 5 in early 2018.

According to the GizmoChina, which had included details of the upcoming OnePlus 5T, the phone might have 6-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 and reduced bezels on the side.

Under the hood, the OnePlus 5T is expected to use the same chipset since Qualcomm is not updating its Snapdragon 835 chipset this year. That includes both models-users are no longer able to order OnePlus with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage ($479) or the higher end SKU with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage ($539).

The render also shows that the OnePlus 5T will have rounded corners and the edges will house the power button, volume rockers and mute switch.

The new OnePlus 5T may also be coming with some hardware changes such as added water and dust resistance.

While OnePlus has not addressed any of these speculations, reports are positive that the company would look forward to releasing a follow up smartphone, especially now that the OnePlus 5 seems to have sold out in the United States.
