Chester Bennington: Carpool Karaoke and Mercedes pays homage

Chester Bennington Carpool Karaoke vide Mercedes car

Six days before his death on July 20, Chester Bennington and Linkin Park recorded a Carpool Karaoke with actor Ken Jeong.

The coroner ruled that Bennington, 41, had apparently hanged himself. The video sees Chester behind the wheel with Ken in the passenger seat and band members Mike Shinoda and Joe Hahn in the back.

At one point between songs, Bennington tells Jeong: "This is probably the greatest day of my life, right now".

Along with pulling over to dance and jumping in a party bus, they sing hit like OutKast's "Hey Ya", Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Under the Bridge", and Linkin Park classics "Numb" and "In the End". "This is so fun, this is the best". They sang "Sweet Home Alabama" by Lynyrd Skynyrd, even roping in a female fan from the street, and Aerosmith's "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing".

The clip culminates with a link to the One More Light Fund, a charity which the band has established to honour Bennington.

In a statement addressed to Bennington, it added: "We're trying to remind ourselves that the demon who took you away from us were always part of the deal".

"I am in shock and heartbroken". While Linkin Park is not exactly EDM, the group has collaborated in the EDM world before, and many EDM fans, including Zedd, were fans of the legendary rock group.
