British Daesh recruiter 'White Widow' killed in drone strike in Syria

The Muslim convert fled Britain to join ISIS back in 2013 alongside toyboy lover Junaid Hussain, taking her then-nine-year-old son JoJo with her

For more than three years Jones has been the world's most wanted female terrorist.

Now she is believed dead after USA spy chiefs reportedly told their counterparts at MI6 that the militant was killed by a predator drone close to the border between Syria and Iraq in June.

The report claims Central Intelligence Agency chiefs informed United Kingdom counterparts of her death but news of the strike has been kept quiet amid concerns her 12-year-old son may also have been killed. "Quite frankly, it's good riddance".

It is not known if her son was with her.

Jones, 50, a mother of two, followed the same fate as her husband, Junaid Hussain, 21.

"She told me she wished to go back to her country".

He was killed by a USA drone in 2015, and had allegedly been planning "barbaric attacks against the West", including terror plots targeting "high profile public commemorations" this summer.

She encouraged followers to carry out attacks against the West while defending Isil's beheadings and vowing to do the same.

Major General Chip Chapman, the former MoD head of counter terror, said Jones would have been a "significant" target as a result of her alliance with Hussain and her role in recruiting IS fighters. Her son is believed to have been forced to execute prisoners during his time there after being brainwashed.

She frequently used her young son Jojo, 12, in the terror group's propaganda videos.

USA intelligence officers also blame her for publishing a list of 1,300 U.S. military personnel's details, believed to have been hacked by her husband, for Isis militants to target.

The scene was reminiscent of the Jihadi John executions which took place over the autumn of 2014, except in this case the killer's face was not masked by a balaclava.

The reported death has yet to be confirmed by official channels.
