Want to unsend WhatsApp messages? Delete For Everyone feature is being tested

Unfortunately, when you realize the mistake, it is too late as there is no way to unsend the texts.

WABetaInfo says the "Delete for Everyone" feature would essentially recall the sent message, and remove it from a receiver's notifications as well. The Facebook-owned messaging service is reportedly testing an "unsend" feature that lets users recall embarrassing or wrongfully sent texts. "The server finally works and it successfully recalls the message". The platform is testing this feature in Android as well as iOS apps and they may offer this feature in coming weeks. Since the feature is in beta, everyone else will have to wait a bit until it rolls out.

The applications of this feature are pretty obvious to anyone who has ever accidentally sent a message complaining about a colleague to that colleague, messaged an ex after one too many mojitos, or fallen victim to an unfortunate autocorrect. Whatsapp is now testing "Delete for Everyone" feature.

What's more, after you decide to recall your message, whatever you wrote will not be displayed on the recipient's notification area.

WABetaInfo claim that while the feature now exists and works, it is not currently enabled, although it is expected to be rolled out in the near future. Also, it is unclear if the feature will be available on both the Android and iOS version of WhatsApp.
