Vince McMahon, Title Matches, More

WWE SmackDown: 5 Predictions For September 12, 2017

-AJ Styles vs. Tye Dillinger for the U.S. Championship.

Corbin attacked Dillinger before the match and, after Styles beat Dillinger, assaulted them both after the bell to continue his problems with both competitors. Owens, clearly boosted by the absence of Shane, called the blue brand as "The Kevin Owens Show", but his invitation was met with by Smackdown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan.

-Natalya vs. Naomi for the Smackdown Women's Championship. Can the former champ recapture the belt to help fans "feel the glow" again?

The match got off to an odd start, however, when rival Carmella came to the commentary table with her mate James Ellsworth chained to a dog collar. This will be the fourth tag title match between these two teams since June. Pretty much anything goes in these battles.

The New Day def.

While Jinder Mahal won't be defending the WWE Championship, one has to wonder if No. 1 contender Shinsuke Nakamura will cross paths with "The Modern Day Maharaja" tonight.

Powell's POV: Join Jake Barnett for live coverage of Smackdown as the show airs on USA Network at 7CT/8ET.

Vince McMahon makes his return to WWE programming to address the situation involving Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon.

At the end of the show, Mr McMahon did finally arrive to the ring to address the situation from last week where Shane had put his hands on Owens leading the latter to threaten a lawsuit.

The attack continued from Owens, as he punched, superkicked, and ultimately frog-splashed his prone boss in front of a packed crowd. Owens made insulting comments towards Shane and brought up his children.
