A 15-year-old girl in northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh was killed after falling off from the third floor of her school building, China's Xinhua news agency reported the police as saying.
Neetu Chauhan was the student of Modern Montessori Inter College and at around 11am (6.30am BST) on Monday, she went to the toilet on the third floor of the building.
The incident happened at a school in Deoria district, about 318 km east of Lucknow, the capital city of Uttar Pradesh. The teenager was later found lying unconscious on the ground floor. "I want a detailed investigation".
Some reports say that the girl on her way to Baba Raghav Das Medical College in Gorakhpur hospital told her brother that she was pushed from the third floor.
"School students had come home to inform me of the incident, but no teachers came", the girl's father told ANI.
"The father has given a complaint that his child was thrown off". The girl's father expressed anger over the school authorities for their careless and negligence attitude. "We have called a forensic team to gather further details from the accident site", said the senior policer officer, Rajiv Malhotra. The CCTV system at the school is out of order.
This incident occurred at a time when Gurgaon's Ryan International School is being scrutinized for their security measures.
