The best way to watch Apple's iPhone 8 event without Safari

Eddy Cue Apple's senior vice president of internet software shows the new Apple TV product

How does $1,000 sound?

A decade after then-CEO Steve Jobs unveiled the first iPhone, Apple Inc on Tuesday is set to introduce a completely redesigned top-of-the-line iPhone along with two other new phones, as well as a big upgrade to the Apple Watch and a higher-definition Apple TV. This feature will also be key in allowing the Apple Watch to make and receive calls independent of the iPhone.

"We focus on new technologies and being first to market", said Alice Milligan, chief customer and digital experience officer at Citi Global Cards. These models are expected to cost a similar price to current iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus versions. The Galaxy S8 also gets credit for the first Android device with iris authentication and facial recognition, Ultra HD video playback, Bluetooth 5.0, HD wireless audio over Bluetooth via aptX HD, mobile HDR Premium and Amazon HDR. A better camera is a safe bet, too.

And for Apple's next fiscal year, analysts think sales will rise 15% - to $261.6 billion.

How does Apple's biggest fan feel about the $1,000 price?

The trend reflects the increasing sophistication of smartphones, which have been evolving into status symbols akin to automobiles. We took a look at everything rumored about them here. That screen is said to use Oled technology, which is clearer, thinner and consumes less battery power. "It's an extension of themselves, it's their entry into the world, it's their connection to their friends".

However, experts said the company could run into problems as it tries to release more than one phone at once.

Of course, pre-conditions include that the iPhone should have an intact and functioning display, be free of any breaks and cracks, and should be able to charge and power on.

But obviously, we won't know what the iPhone X is or what else Apple has up its sleeve this September until Tim Cook and friends announce the new products on stage. That means $17 a month more than what many are already paying.

Apple has not confirmed that the introduction of the iPhone will take place Tuesday, only that it is holding an event that day at 10 a.m. PT. And that made a lot of difference.

But the deluxe model virtually assures that the average price of the iPhone - now at $606 versus $561 three years ago - will keep climbing.
