RUMOR: 'Han Solo' Spinoff Features A Brand New Millennium Falcon

Return of the Millennium Falcon

Despite the chaos surrounding the production, there are plenty of things to look forward to in this movie.

Plot details for the second Star Wars spinoff remain under wraps but the film is said to feature the young Smuggler meeting Chewbacca and also acquiring the Millennium Falcon, which is owned by Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover) in the film.

We'll find out for certain what this sequence was when the still untitled Han Solo film debuts in theaters May 25, 2018.

If Han really did soup up the engines, it may not even be half so fast as the ship we know so well.

It's likely we're going to see lots of Falcon-based action - including the story of how it came into Han's possession - and it's going to be great to see it in a fresh light.

But the Falcon may not quite be as we know her. MakingStarWars.net has just published an intriguing new rumor that this early Falcon may have a subtly different design (and paint-job) to the one we know and love. What is surprising is how different the Falcon is going to be. The Falcon reportedly has a white paint job with blue accents as opposed to the hits of red we're used to. Surprisingly, after all of these years, we've never seen the Falcon do that on screen. Aside from the look, the site also claims that we are finally going to see the Millennium Falcon do what it was created to do; deliver cargo.

"Basically there's an attachment that hooks into the front of the ship's front "forks" and that elongates the front of the ship". Although it looks seamless, it's a ideal way to smuggle spice; if things get too complicated, you just dump the shipment.
