Osinbajo assures Akwa Ibom residents of FG's strategic partnership

FG Will Tackle Electricity Supply Challenges – Osinbajo

Osinbajo, who said this during the inauguration of an electric metering factory in Onna Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State on Saturday, also stated that insufficient meters hindered power firms from billing their consumers accurately.

The event was also to mark the 30-year anniversary when Akwa Ibom State was created.

Meanwhile NAIJ.com earlier reported that the Akwa Ibom state government has reportedly blocked the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for seven times, from investigating former governor of the state, Godswill Akpabio.

He said that the Federal Government was prepared to enter into partnership with any state of the federation for the purposes of development.

"You and I as individual also have major role to play, citizens everywhere should never sit idle when misguided elements in our midst recklessly destroy the common bonds of friendship, brotherhood that have been built through tribe and tongue for decades".

Osinbajo urged the people to collectively make the sacrifice to establish unity in all parts of the country, stressing that peace was the foundation of enduring prosperity.

The wife of the first civilian governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mrs Imo Isemin is dead.

He said, "Today we have come to inaugurate not a government project but private-sector initiative project. The state is a good and flawless gift because it is a state named after God".

Professor Osinbajo was accompanied on the official visit by the Minister of Budget and National Planning, Senator Udo Udoma.
