Nikon D850 with 45.7-Megapixel sensor coming to India on 7 September

Nikon has launched its flagship DSLR camera in India.

The company also noted that there will be several launch offers where the company will offer a complimentary AF-S NIKKOR 85mm f/1.8G prime lens for consumers who buy the AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm lens or a 200-500mm lens with the body.

In addition, interested buyers will also receive a Jealiot Runner 0702 DSLR backpack and a 64GB UHS-1 SD card with every purchase of the Nikon D850.

The major highlight of the camera is full-frame FX format 45.7-megapixel CMOS sensor along with Expeed 5 image-processing engine.The camera has an ISO sensitivity range from ISO 64 to 25600, which is expandable from Lo 1 (ISO 32) to Hi 2 (ISO 102400). The shooting speed is available 7fps and 9fps. Nikon D850 is the company's first DSLR to incorporate a FX-format, back-side Illuminated (BSI) CMOS sensor, which captures light more efficiently for wider dynamic range and low-noise image capture. It also supports uncompressed live 4:2:2 8-bit 4K UHD output via HDMI for an external recorder, and can record to a card at the same time. "The Nikon D850 is the hero camera". To cater to this growing market, the full-frame digital camera will be a fitting companion for professionals and photo-enthusiasts to achieve high precision in their work. The camera's rugged exterior is created to be dust and weather proof.

The camera features a 3.2-inch, 2.35 million dot resolution display with touchscreen and tilt functionality.

The Nikon D850 has a rugged magnesium alloy body which is weather sealed, so it can withstand gruelling environments.

At the launch, Kazuo Ninomiya, Managing Director, Nikon India said, "The launch of the revolutionary Nikon D850 exemplifies our commitment towards bringing about cutting-edge technological innovation in the evolving photography space". There's also built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for Nikon's SnapBridge feature, which lets you transfer images from the camera to your smartphone even when the camera is switched off. The camera has dual slots for convenient data management, one for SD cards and the other for XQD. The battery life of the Nikon D850 can also be further elongated to continue longer shooting season with the help of optional battery grip (MB-D18).
