Microsoft's LTE Surface Pro expected to launch on December 1st

A spokesperson reportedly said the LTE Surface Pro is now listed on Microsoft's Surface site, but the fresh tablet-come-laptop hybrid appears to be absent for the time being. While at its Ignite 2017 conference, Microsoft might have just let the cat out of the bag by confirming a release date of its anticipated Surface Pro LTE.

Microsoft, earlier in the year, launched the Surface Pro laptop in Beijing and now, the Redmond-based technology major, as promised, is prepping to unveil new version of the hybrid computing system. This is not the first time we have heard about the cellular-enabled Surface Pro, but now we have a date to look forward to.

The company has sent out invites to its annual two-day Future Decoded event, which will take place in London from 31 October to 1 November.

The Surface Pro LTE popped up on United Kingdom retail website, Misco, in which specifications were detailed for the new device. The cheapest option is listed at £1,130 (around $1,510) for 4GB of RAM and 128GB SSD, and £1,400 (around $1,870) for 8GB RAM and 256GB SDD.

None of this information is solidly confirmed until Microsoft issue a statement or official announcement of the device, but speculation is strong in the run up to its October 31st Surface keynote. The Surface Pro will likely continue to use Intel CPUs.

Other expected features of upcoming Microsoft Pro LTE include anodised metallic body and a 12.3-inch screen with PixelSense Display technology having 2736x1824p resolution, 3:2 aspect ratio, an 8MP shooter on back, a 5MP front camera and support Alcantara-type keyboard, which resists spills and absorption.
