MI rises to No. 7 in new AP, coaches polls

MI starts 2-0 for the second straight season.

No. 5 Oklahoma traveled to Columbus, Ohio, to face No. 2 Ohio State during prime time in front of a sellout crowd of over 100,000 people on national TV.

The Clemson Tigers had a nice win as well over an always tough Auburn Tigers team. Penn State, who was ranked fourth, dropped one spot despite beating Pittsburgh, 33-14.

The Sooners claimed the No. 2 spot with the win.

Alabama remains the consensus No. 1.

With another week of college football in the books, there is still just one team from the Lone Star State ranked in the polls.

Wisconsin also fell one spot in both polls, to No. 10 in the AP poll and No. 12 in the coaches poll, following an unconvincing 31-14 win over Florida Atlantic.

This week, there are two big games coming up when it comes to the AP Top 25. Georgia 14. Louisville 15. Washington State 22. South Florida 23. USC5. Penn State6. Washington7. Last season, Ohio State smashed Oklahoma 45-24 in Norman, but Baker Mayfield and Co. had different plans Saturday evening.
