Melania Trump makes waves with 'storm stilettos,' FLOTUS hat

Although it's still unclear exactly where in Texas the president and first lady will visit or for how long, it's been speculated that the Trumps will be going closer to where the hurricane hit land.

She was photographed in stiletto pumps, part of an outfit that included capri trousers, a green bomber jacket with ruched sleeves and aviator sunglasses. "Don't worry, Melania has her special storm stilettos". "You can pick up debris with your heels".

President Trump on Wednesday offered his sympathies to the victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas and Louisiana - vowing that the federal government would do all it could to help them recover from the epic disaster.

Houses and cars are seen partially submerged by flood waters from tropical storm Harvey in east Houston, Texas, U.S., August 28, 2017.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott said during Trump's visit earlier this week that the president and his cabinet had been in contact with him and his team about ten days before the storm.

She stepped off Air Force One wearing black pants and a white button up shirt, trading the stilettos for white tennis shoes.

After hearing about the criticism, a spokesperson for the First Lady claimed that she had something to change into on the plane which we now know included a hat that said "FLOTUS".

Despite the statement from Melania's spokesperson, Twitter still dragged her for the choice in shoes.

"My thoughts and prayers continue to be with the people of Texas and Louisiana".
