Jerry Hughes blasts Jim Kelly for comments on Bills' protests

Von Miller Chris Harris know Broncos need fast start to quiet Bills crowd'They feed off them

The 57-year old stated that he "lost a lot of respect' for McCoy and added that those who didn't think that the United State's was good enough should leave. It was not cool, very unacceptable and if he has things to say to us as a team, come talk to us".

Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor, who stood during the anthem Sunday, said after the game his teammates have yet to decide whether to continue their protest on Sunday against the Falcons.

"I like LeSean McCoy, don't get me wrong, but I totally, 100 percent, I disagree with what he did", Kelly told 97 Rock in Buffalo. "You want to kneel?"

"I won't go into different areas and subjects, but in this country a lot of different things are going on, with people protesting in a violent way. Black or white, it does not matter".

In a tweet on Sunday's game, Kelly said that he was "really upset" at what the players did. Kelly also appeared on the sidelines prior to the game against the Denver Broncos, holding his hat in the air during the national anthem.

"I am so sick and exhausted of what's going on in this country", Kelly told Buffalo's 97 Rock, via ESPN.com's Mike Rodak. But unfortunately, Kelly decided to make the issue public before doing that. She said Kelly was unavailable for comment because he was traveling.

We're hearing from Coach Mike Sullivan about how he would handle the situation for Channel 11 News, starting at 5 p.m.

McCoy's opinion has changed considerably since he first criticized Colin Kaepernick, the first National Football League player to take a knee in protest back in August, Daily News reported. It's having players do things that I feel is unacceptable. Hughes also suggested that Kelly is "dividing" the team.

"I was very disappointed in him", Hughes said on Monday. I won't speak for everyone in our locker room, but that doesn't sit well with me at all, because we came together as a team and we discussed exactly how we were going to approach the national anthem. But we're trying to bring a team together, a community together, a nation together. That's the biggest thing, man, and it showed today from guys taking knees, from guys touching shoulders show him that we're all in this together'. "And by dividing us and dividing the team, that doesn't work".

Hughes didn't directly answer a question as to whether Kelly would be welcomed back on the sideline.

"Half the time I don't even realize he's (on the sideline) until it was pointed out yesterday the display of actions he did", Hughes said.

"We could use all the encouragement that we need to figure out how they won games back in those days and be as successful as they were".

Jim Kelly is "sick and exhausted of what's going on in this country".

Coach McDermott referred to a statement the Pegulas released on Saturday when asked about Kelly criticizing McCoy. I'm not sure I understand it.

McDermott's culture change at One Bills Drive is rooted in the importance of love, unity and a brotherhood behind closed doors and on the playing field.
