Jeff Jarrett out; Global Force Wrestling "hemorrhaging funds" and future in balance

Jeff Jarrett

Now that Jarrett seems to be stepping away from GFW, Alberto seems to be headed out too.

It's well known by now that Jeff Jarrett is taking an indefinite leave of absence from his position as GFW Chief Creative Officer as he needs to focus on personal matters.

As a matter of fact, Jeff Jarrett was on Twitter earlier in the morning talking about how excited he was for September in GFW Impact Wrestling, so whatever happened was sudden and possibly unexpected. Fightful.com learned that Jarrett had fallen out of favor with Anthem Sports' Ed Nordholm. However, it looks like Anthem will have to put someone else in charge as John Pollock of The Fight Network announced earlier today that Jeff is taking an indefinite leave of absence.

In regards to his status with the company, it was said Nordholm was willing to let him go due to the Orlando Airport incident, and Jarrett was said to calm the situation, but may change with Jarrett taking an absence. Anthem does have a worthwhile commodity, which is the tape library.

If WWE decides to purchase GFW/Impact, the Hardys stand to benefit most.

TNA eventually soared in popularity, following its inception in 2002, on the backs of stars such as AJ Styles, Velvet Sky, Gail Kim, Hulk Hogan and Kurt Angle, to name a few, but ran into financial problems over the past couple of years, leading to several top performers quitting the company. WWE would then own the "Broken Universe" intellectual property, and "Broken" Matt and Brother Nero would mesmerize WWE audiences with their "Broken Brilliance". Gaburick is extremely close with Kevin Dunn.

Anthem could also consider selling to Ring of Honor or even open up discussions with former TNA investor and Smashing Pumpkins icon Billy Corgan, but Jarrett's exit opens the door for WWE to make Anthem an offer it cannot refuse.
