Fighting half-centuries by Hardik Pandya and Mahendra Singh Dhoni helped India recover from a top-order slump and post 281/7 in the opening one-day worldwide against Australia in Chennai on Sunday.

Then Pandya unleashed his attacking side, specially targeting spinner Adam Zama who he hit for 24 runs in one over.

However, in the 40.5 over he was caught by Faulkner in Jampa's delivery.

After winning the toss, India skipper Virat Kohli opted to bat first.

With MS Dhoni at the other end, Pandya took his time to get used to the pace of the pitch and resurrected the innings.
