Green Paint And Tan Leather Makes Us Want This Limited 570GT Badly

McLaren resurrects XP Green paint color for six special MSO 570GTs

It featured a stunning "XP Green" exterior paint hue, and now McLaren Special Operations has finished six 570GTs in the color to honor the vehicle.

The six 570 GT models finished in "XP Green" constitute a new MSO Collection inspired by the McLaren F1 XP GT Longtail, which was built in 1997 as the original road-going prototype of the Longtail GT race vehicle.

According to McLaren, MSO then sets its sights on the exterior of the supercar, which gets Saddle Tan aero pin-striping that edges the front splitter, side skirts, door panel, and rear diffusor. It boasts 7.8 more cubic feet of storage at 12.4 cu ft than comparable Sport Series models. The saddle leather interior features green leather trim and stitching, while the inverse is applied on the outside where saddle tan pinstripes complement the black aero components. It's still a great vehicle to drive, however, with its twin-turbo 3.8-litre V8 producing 562bhp.

Based on McLaren's most practical model, the 570GT, the auto offers 370 litres of boot space, 220 litres more than the regular 570S. Chassis settings deliver the additional comfort expected from a auto designed for touring, with spring rate stiffness reduced by 15% at the front and 10% at the rear compared to the 570S Coupé.

MSO has today shown off its new special edition 570GT, which is painted in a special XP Green exterior color. F1 XP GT, instantly recognisable by the extended rear bodywork and distinctive colour, was the original road-going prototype built to satisfy the homologation requirements of motorsport governing body, the FIA.

Furthermore, each MSO XP Green 570GT gets the GT Upgrade Pack, which includes a vehicle lift, rear view camera, alarm, Bowers & Wilkins audio system, auto cover, and a set of 5-spoke lightweight forged wheels finished in Stealth.

It stands for McLaren Special Operations, and it's the department that deals with bespoke orders, from the straightforward to the pernickety.

All six examples have apparently already been spoken for by customers in the UK, Germany, and the Netherlands.
