Chris Christie: Bannon's plane ultimatum "never happened"

Steve Bannon slams 'meddling bishops' in TV interview

While the interview was not particularly eye opening it did confirm who we all thought he was, Noah said: a radical nationalist who believes Trump will be instrumental in "tearing down the establishment".

'I was speaking to the principal, to the man who's now president of the United States, ' Christie stated, noting in the interview that the two men had been friends for 15 years and 'speak the truth to each other'. "I know that no one else cared about it, and now that he's been fired, no one is going to really care about anything else Steve Bannon has to say". 'I know that no one else cared about it.

Noah revealed The Daily Show hired a professional genealogist to look into Bannon's background and discovered his great grandfather immigrated to this country from Ireland in the 50's "at a time when America's borders were so open" it required "no passport, no visa, no background checks of any kind", Noah said.

"Steve doesn't look like the monster they want you to think that he is", Duke said.

Despite nearly daily updates coming out about special counsel Robert S. Mueller's investigation about possible Russian involvement in last year's election, Bannon says there's nothing to it. He also called the Russian Federation investigation a "waste of time".

Bannon also discusses the fallout after the "Access Hollywood" tape leaked just weeks before the election. The tape featured Trump making sexually hostile comments toward women in a discussion with correspondent Billy Bush. His campaign spun into crisis mode, and he met with advisors the Saturday after the story broke. "When you side with a man you side with him, the good and the bad".

Christie told PBS NewsHour that he: "was there the whole Billy Bush weekend" and went on to explain that he "was offered Cabinet positions that I turned down". You can criticize him behind, but when you side with him, you have to side with him.

"Christie, because of - Billy Bush- weekend - and - was- was - not looked at for a Cabinet position", Bannon told CBS' Charlie Rose.

"I told him, 'The plane leaves at 11:00 in the morning".

"[He] didn't make the plane".
