Azealia Banks Just Called Cardi BA "Poor Man's Nicki"

Azealia Banks Just Called Cardi BA

But that's not the only milestone Cardi B has reached in her relatively young career.

The Bronx native's breakout anthem "Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)" secured the No. 1 spot on the latest chart, Billboard announced Monday.

Knocking Taylor Swift from her perch, Cardi B recently scored her first number one in the USA with Bodak Yellow.

However, last night, after Cardi beat Nicki and every other contemporary rapper to break a record held only by Lauryn Hill, Nicki Minaj took to her Twitter and later on Cardi's Instagram to congratulate her. And then Cardi B burst onto the scene.

She added the caption: 'Sooo attractive and lovely.Thank you @taylorswift for the flowers.and I freaking love your music'. "Ya made it happen for me!"

The announcement marked the first time a solo female rapper had topped the chart since 1998. Cardi captioned the clip.

Her rant pretty much goes down hill from there. "Cuz even the HATERS love it!"

It wasn't all that surprising, as Azealia usually has something to say, and it's hardly ever a popular opinion, but Cardi responded gracefully and threw a slight jab at her foe by pointing out that she too is a huge fan of "Bodak".

In the three distinct spots, one of which has a rendition right now running on neighborhood link systems including NY 1, the "Bodak Yellow" rapper's in a split second conspicuous voice is heard presenting herself.

Cardi B hopped on Twitter later in the day to thank the rapping icon for her gushing tweet. "I've been through so many things and I worked so hard for me to be here, and it's like I'm finally here getting what I wanted, (and getting) the respect from other artists and from everybody".
