Apple's iTunes update removes the iOS app store

Kodi Work On iOS 11

With the iTunes version 12.7 for both Windows and macOS, quietly released during the keynote event in Cupertino, you no longer have access to the App Store on desktop as the focus is now on "music, movies, TV shows, podcasts, and audiobooks". Following this, head to the update menu and you can see every detail there, as Apple has described how to install the iOS 11 beta here.

iTunes will first extract the firmware, then prepare your iOS device for restore, restore the firmware then verify the installation with Apple.

You can install iOS 11 now just by signing up for the public beta program on Apple's website.

Now it might look like the bad guy for yanking out the app section, but it's all for the goal of keeping iTunes focused on entertainment content.

Other changes to version 12.7 of iTunes includes a new "Internet Radio" section in the sidebar, easier ringtone management, and Apple's iTunes U content being integrated into Podcasts. Once users update to iTunes 12.7, the only way to download/redownload apps is directly through the App Store on the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Riffing off the popular Venmo app, where millions of students split pizza bills and rent notices via the peer-to-peer app, Apple is bringing the same technology to its text message network, Messages. What it adds in this update is the ability to sync with devices running iOS 11 and social music sharing for Apple Music subscribers.

Chief among iOS 11's features is a much-needed update to Siri.

iOS 11's revamped control centre is its most eye-catching aesthetic change.

If you previously used iTunes to sync apps, books, or ringtones to your iOS device, use the new App Store, iBooks, or Sounds Settings on iOS to redownload them without your computer.
