Apple Partners With Accenture for Business Customers

Apple has partnered with multiple companies to promote iOS for enterprise settings.

As part of the tie-up, an unspecified number of Apple staff will co-locate to a new, dedicated iOS practice within Accenture Digital Studios "in select locations around the world". The goal of these new teams is to create a set of tools and services that will help enterprise clients digitally transform with iOS devices. An Apple expert will be embedded in the team.

Apple has been selective in terms of its partnerships in the enterprise space, observed Bryan Bassett, research analyst, mobile enterprise, at IDC. The two companies past year advanced that partnership, with IBM announcing plans to extend its Watson cognitive technology into the MobileFirst for iOS ecosystem. The global systems integrator and consulting firm will work with Apple to design, prototype, launch and manage new iOS solutions. SAP also got in on the Apple partnerships with an iOS deal "revolutionize the mobile work experience for enterprise customers". To reach out to an app developer, simply go to the offending app's page on the App Store by tapping on the app name in the 32-bit list, then tap on Developer Website.

Apparently seeing few other opportunities for market expansion, this week's pact indicates Apple is proceeding full steam ahead on its enterprise push. Key backers include Cisco Systems and IBM, among others. "Scale iOS for businesses of all sizes".

They will leverage Accenture's expertise in systems integration, along with unique iOS advantages that Apple built with its partners Cisco and SAP. "Make the most of iPhone, iPad, and Mac by working with our partners on mobile strategy consulting, app development, back-end system integration, and corporate networking". "Both Apple and Accenture are leaders in building incredible user experiences and together we can continue to truly modernize how businesses work through wonderful solutions that take advantage of the incredible capabilities of Apple's technologies".

The companies plan to develop Internet of Things services featuring new tools, templates and predesigned code to take greater advantage of IoT platforms in iOS apps.

Rounding off the practice, migration services will allow businesses to transfer existing legacy applications and data to modern iOS apps, with the first practice to be established in San Francisco.
