Trump warns North Korea against making 'overt' threats

"Trump reiterated to President Macron the United States' commitment to stop the North Korean nuclear menace".

Trump has pushed China to pressure North Korea to halt a nuclear weapons program that is nearing the capability of targeting the United States.

Earlier this week, Trump said that North Korea would be met with "fire and fury" if it made further threats against the US, and then on Thursday, he suggested that those words may not have been "tough enough" after the threats from North Korea continued.

Nancy Soderberg, a UNF faculty administrator and a candidate running for Congress, has recently responded to Trump's reaction on her campaign website.

In a statement Saturday, Macron said the situation "undermines the preservation of worldwide peace" and the North Korean regime "poses a serious threat to the security of its neighbors".

Spinnaker reached out to Congressman Ron DeSantis, the current representative for District 6, the seat Soderberg is running for, but didn't receive a response by the time of publication. And this man will not get away with what he is doing, believe me.

In an editorial on Saturday, North Korea's Minju Joson newspaper said that the USA "finds itself in an ever worsening dilemma, being thrown into the grip of extreme security unrest by the DPRK". It said Wednesday that plans for a strike near the island would be complete by mid-August. Guam's Homeland Security adviser, George Charfauros, said on Friday it would take 14 minutes for a missile fired from North Korea to reach Guam.

US President Donald Trump called the French President yesterday amid mounting tensions with North Korea the day after he said he was considering further economic sanctions against the nation. If somebody else uttered the exact same words that I uttered, they'd say what a great statement, what a wonderful statement.

"It is critical that the Trump administration exhaust all diplomatic options before resorting to military force", Cicilline wrote.

"It would mean the end of their country as they know it", he said.
