Take A Bite Of Google's Latest Android Firmware: Android Oreo

Google unveiled the name at what appeared to be an eclipse viewing party in New York's 14th Street Park, a location selected because of its proximity to the first bakery that made Oreos. Andorid 8.0 Oreo has also focused on optimizing battery life, graphics rendering, and stability, while giving developers better visibility over the health of their apps. Let us know in the comments section below.

WebView enhancements: Android Oreo enables WebView multi-process mode by default and adds an API to let apps handle errors and crashes.

From now on, Android users of Oreo OS would be able to operate two actions concerning videos and camera, at the same time.

Google Android 8.0 Oreo has officially been announced. Google has also claimed that, "hostile downloader apps can't operate without permission; users now permit the installation of APKs per-source".

System optimizations: worked across the system to help apps run faster and smoother. The settings app has been redesigned to be simpler, with tips on various device features so users can get the most out of them. But Oreo gets many visual changes that make the user experience easier and more informative. The numbers represent the exact number of notifications for a particular app. So the notifications will show up after some time when users have the time to see them. This might put off a few folks as there is no limit to the kind of colour a notification can turn into, but at least you won't be hunting for notifications from media apps that don't make it a point to stay at the top of the notification shade while in use.

Google previewed the system in May at its annual developers conference and offered no additional details Monday, apart from saying that "Android Oreo has arrived, safer, smarter, more powerful and sweeter than ever".

Autofill Framework: The much needed Autofill which remembers all login credentials to login to various apps. It should be noted that these files can be downloaded and flashed manually. Some people consider this partnership quite odd, since Xiaomi MIUI's ROM is nearly completely removed and it can be mistaken for a different operating system from Android.

Google, at the event, said that it has been working towards the development of Android 8.0 Oreo for over a year now. A wider rollout will be happening later on, especially if you have an Android smartphone that is not made by Google. It remains to be seen how well Project Treble will work in practice, but it is certainly a neat idea that could go a long way in increasing the speed with which consumers receive Android updates.

This means that those Nexus and Pixel devices that have started carrier testing will be seeing Android Oreo before anyone else.
