Today we've got word that the next Samsung wearable device - a flawless companion for the Galaxy Note 8, as it were - just passed through the FCC.
The new wearable reportedly made its appearance in a listing at the FCC and goes by the model number SM-R600.
Shortly after it stopped by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the Gear Fit 2 Pro has been officially confirmed. There are speculations that this one might feature enhanced step-tracking accuracy.
Looks like the Galaxy Note 8 may not be the only thing that Samsung announces later this month.
A different report by SamMobile has spilled the beans about its upcoming wearable device.
Samsung's direction to make a sports watch seems appropriate as Apple has already reinvented the image of its own smartwatch brand, adding new features and partnerships for assisting exercises and workouts. It appears that the next hybrid smartwatch that Samsung plans to introduce is called Gear Sport. It's not clear if it'll take the shape of a smartwatch or be closer to a long fitness tracker, but the most recent Gear devices have all had identical round shapes.
In terms of specs, the Gear Sport will support Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The listing also contains a diagram of the smartwatch that indicates the official name of the wearable to be the Samsung Gear Sport.
