Neymar cleared to make PSG debut

PSG forward Neymar

I refer to the transfer of the 25-year-old Brazilian known only as Neymar from Barcelona to Paris St Germain for a world-record fee close to £200 million.

Neymar debut has been put on hold due as PSG awaits International Transfer Certificate (ITC), but Barca refused to clear it until they had received the funds from the French outfit into their bank account. He has dazzled Rio's imposing Maracana and Barcelona's storied Camp Nou, but it's Guingamp's humble 17,000-capacity Stade du Rouduorou, tucked away in sleepy Brittany, which today greets Neymar, the world's most expensive footballer.

FFF president Noel Le Graet said another reason for the delay could be the current turmoil within the Spanish federation.

"The federation is in contact with our Spanish counterparts".

Over the past seven days, national sports daily L'Equipe has devoted 37 pages of coverage to the Brazilian superstar's arrival in the French capital.

In case you didn't know.

Neymar has taken to the sauna with Paris Saint-Germain and Brazil team-mates ahead of his Ligue 1 debut against Guingamp on Sunday.

Kilian Mbappe in his first full season played 44 matches - forward "Monaco" scored 26 goals and gave 14 assists, and the club sensationally won the French League and reached the semi-finals in the Champions League.

PSG opened the season by beating Amiens 2-0 at the Parc des Princes last Saturday.

'There's no anti-Neymar plan, ' said Jordan Ikoko this week.

PSG fans celebrate as Neymar is unveiled by the club.

"We all want him in the starting eleven, he's a player we need in the group". "He's going to be able to settle in easily thanks to the other Brazilian players and he's young, so we're interested in the same things, I have no doubt".

Coincidentally, Mourinho does look set to land PSG right back Serge Aurier as he looks for reinforcements following the loan departure of Timothy Fosu-Mensah to Crystal Palace.

Leonardo Jardim's principality outfit will be expecting to make it two wins from two when they pay a visit to Dijon on Sunday.
