The Helio P23 supports 13 + 13-megapixel dual camera configurations, or a single 24-megapixel sensor, while the Helio P30 supports up to 16+16 megapixel dual camera configurations. They also support enterprises of the carrier frequencies LTE (Carrier Aggregation) and is created to provide the capabilities and performance of high-end to more affordable devices.
MediaTek will launch Helio P23 chipset for smartphone companies in Q4 2017 targeting global phone customers. While the Helio P23 will be available globally, the Helio P23 is said to launch first in China. Qualcomm, MediaTek, Intel and Spreadtrum and Samsung are top names in the chipset market, and these processors power smartphones in the budget, mid-range and high-end categories.
Chipmaker MediaTek on Tuesday unveiled two new chipsets in its mid-range Helio P range - the Helio P23 and Helio P30.
Incorporating MediaTek's Imagiq 2.0 technology suite, the chipsets are equipped to minimize aliasing, grain and noise, reduce chromatic aberration and more - resulting in clear, crisp, high-quality images across a number of lighting conditions. These two SoCs join the Helio P25 as part of the "premium" mid-range lineup and are expected to feature in smartphones like the Moto M series. It even includes a new hardware component called Camera Control Unit that brings twice the auto exposure convergence speed than the competitors.
The P30 also features a new Vision Processing Unit (VPU), a dedicated 500MHz digital signal processor paired to the Image Signal Processors.
The MediaTek Helio P30 and Helio P23 chipsets are built using the 16nm architecture, and MediaTek claims they are optimal for the mid-range dual SIM card-supporting smartphones. It performs real-time processing functions that were typically assigned to the CPU or GPU, but at a tenth of the power usage. MediaTek has kept it open for OEM's to use with their software and for them to create use case scenarios and algorithms for the VPU.
Both processor now offers upgraded LTE modems with down speed of 300 Mbps and upload speed of 150 Mbps. The Helio P23 and P30 have a unique combination of Cat. It also bears a TAS 2.0 (Transmitting Antenna Switching) smart antenna technology to provide optimal signal quality.
Apart from these, both SoC packages come with an octa-core processor comprised of ARM Cortex-A53 cores with the maximum clock frequency of ~2.3GHz.
UK House Price Growth Slows More Than Expected
On a monthly basis, house prices fell by 0.1 per cent between July and August while on a yearly basis they grew by 2.1 per cent. Nationwide expects prices to rise by 2% over 2017 as a whole.
