Meanwhile, in its more recent Geekbench visit, the Lenovo K8 Note establishes itself to be the more powerful handset out of the two.
It won't be long before the LenovoK8 Note will be seen in the flesh, at least in India, where it will be launched tomorrow, August 9. During the launch, the company revealed that since the launch of the first K-Series smartphone, there have been 8.5 million K-Series users in India.
The Lenovo K8 Plus was powered by the MediaTek Helio P25 processor during the benchmark test and with the help of its 3 GB of random-access memory (RAM), the device churned out scores (861 points for single-core and 3,761 for multicore) that put it under the midrange category. For its price, the K8 Note flaunts a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a counted resolution of 1080x1920 pixels.
In terms of its dual camera setup, the Note K8 is equipped with 13Megapixel unit and another 5Megapixel unit. Priced at Rs 12,999 onwards, it will be available exclusively on Amazon India. The smartphone is the first Lenovo-branded offering from the company to feature a dual camera setup, just as we predicted with the choice of the "8" symbol in the name and teasers.
Other features include a fingerprint scanner on the rear, front 13MP camera with front LED flash, dual SIM slot and dedicated microSD slot for storage expansion. It is true! Lenovo has skipped the K7 Note and jumped to the K8 Note to make it a killer device with double the performance than the K6 Note. The smartphone is powered by the deca-core Mediatek Helio X23 processor paired with 3/4GB of RAM and a 4,000mAh battery with TurboCharge support.
The Lenovo K8 Note comes in two variants - 32GB built-in storage with 3GB of RAM and 64GB built-in storage with 4GB of RAM.
There's a layer of Corning Gorilla glass and Oleophobic coating atop. Launch offers include additional 4G data from Idea and discounts on Kindle books and Moto Sports Headphones. Also, it is the first Lenovo smartphone to run on stock Android instead of the Vibe Pure UI.
The Honor 6X comes with dual-rear cameras as well. It sports a dedicated Music key on the left bezel and can be customised as per the user.
Lenovo V8 Note has a 4000mAh battery with turbo charging which enables faster charging with USB OTG support.
The K8 Note measures 154.5x75.9x8.5mm and weighs 180 grams.
