Klopp content with Liverpool squad and happy for window to close

Sanchez has yet to play for Arsenal this term but is expected to feature at Liverpool on Sunday

Sanchez returned to pre-season late following his participation at the Confederations Cup this summer but his preparations were disrupted after he suffered an abdominal injury at the start of August.

"He has not played for a while so I will have to decide what I do with him but he's ready to play". "I think I'm quite open on that".

Sanchez, along with German worldwide Mesut Ozil and England's Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, is in the final year of his contract at the Emirates and Wenger has previously said he would be willing to lose the services of the player without receiving a transfer fee next summer. Although many Liverpool fans still prefer Alexander-Arnold to any other right back at the club, Gomez provides more defensive solidity than the 18-year-old. "At the moment, Jack is working very hard to come back after his fracture so, overall, another setback would be awful - and it was a bad tackle".

'I want Alexis to stay at the club and be one of the big players of this future. If that's the case, then he needs to act upon securing deals, especially if he is planning ahead to build the future squad around Oxlade-Chamberlain.

"Personally I want him to commit to the club and be one of the carriers of the values of our team. Players at that level are used to it". He's always focused, very happy. Past year we had an outstandingly good record against the top six.

Arsenal head to Anfield on Sunday afternoon sitting on three points from their opening two league games so Wenger will be desperate to come away with a positive result after slumping to a disappointing 1-0 defeat at the Britannia last weekend.

But the Frenchman also has not ruled out keeping Sanchez, adding: "He is very focused, the fact that he goes into the last season of his contract doesn't mean that we have no chance to extend it".

Jurgen Klopp has hinted that Liverpool could make further signings before next week's transfer deadline.

Liverpool have been linked with moves for Arsenal's Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Bayern Munich's Renato Sanches and Schalke defender Benedikt Howedes, yet Klopp admits he can not control whether deals will be finalised in the next few days. Phones ring a bit more often. The last two days are always hectic.

"I'm happy with the squad I have". He's either injured, ill or just acting up - you choose.
