Bran's ultimate use on 'Game of Thrones': Isaac Hempstead Wright talks theories

In effect, the Bran we used to know doesn't seem to be very present at all.

It wasn't really the Three-Eyed Raven of "Game of Thrones" fame talking, of course, and, alas, Isaac Hempstead Wright never did say "nevermore". It's just this whole idea that Bran has become a much smaller part of the character's brain, when before 100% of his head was taken up with being Bran Stark. But certainly, he's nearly completely a different character.

For those of you that don't know who Lady Stoneheart is, here's a quick recap: In the books after Catelyn Stark is butchered at the Red Wedding she is thrown into a river, where she is found by the Brotherhood Without Banners. He had only done a one-day TV commercial shoot before "GoT".

That said, we've been waiting for this to happen since the beginning.

Wright added that there is still a bit of "old Bran" left in his character, but that personality has to share space in his brain with a lot more now. "He's now an incredibly powerful character; having all the knowledge in the world puts you in a seriously advantageous position". Bran just becomes this calm, zen character. This one comes courtesy of an eagle-eyed Redditor who thinks Lady Stoneheart aka Catelyn Stark made a cameo in "The Spoils of War".

It is at ~exactly~ that moment where Arya brings up her mother that Reddit user GrennsGal pointed out that a ghostly figure strolls casually in the background. Activities will include The King's Tournament Games-a series of jousting, sword sparring, and archery competitions-tours of the castle, interactive shadow puppet shows, and performances drawn from the first book in George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series that inspired the show. The fact that Bran heard that line means that he's gone back and looked through Mr. Baelish's timeline.

Good - there's enough Bran left for him to kind of enjoy making Littlefinger uncomfortable. But now, some fans are claiming that there was an even grander, more thrilling element in the episode that we were all oblivious to: the appearance of Lady Stoneheart.

Before this season started, Wright and the show's creators talked about how Brandon would be played, now that he's mostly been taken over by the Three-Eyed Raven persona.
