Black Mirror season 4: first teaser and episode titles
Today, Netflix's Black Mirror surprise-dropped the trailer for its fourth season, which will come out at some mysterious point in the future, and teases the titles and cast of its six new episodes. A trailer featuring previews and titles for each episode can be watched above, with Jodie Foster confirmed as the director for the series' first episode. It is directed by John Hillcoat.
While Maxine Peake will be front and centre in Metalhead and Peaky Blinders' Joe Cole in Hang the DJ. Directed by Tim Van Patten.
"USS Callister", directed by Toby Haynes, written by Brooker and William Bridges, starring Jesse Plemons, Cristin Millioti, Jimmi Simpson, and Michaela Coel.
- "Black Museum", directed by Colm McCarthy (The Girl with All the Gifts) and starring Douglas Hodge (The Night Manager, Catastrophe), Letitia Wright (Humans, Ready Player One), Babs Olusanmokun (Roots, The Defenders). It is directed by David Slade.
There's no word yet on when Black Mirror season 4 will release on Netflix, with it simply being listed as "coming soon".
"Weirdly there was one news story I read the other day that I thought 'Oh, how does that reflect on an episode we've already finished shooting?'" Brooker said.
"We did a lot of different genre pieces in the last season and we're doing the same again this year, but we're also tackling style and tones that we haven't done before". "Although if that does happen the world is really f*cked. well, the world is really f*cked", so we'll see".
