"We wrote her a letter about the world we hope she grows up in, and also hoping she doesn't grow up too fast", he posted on his Facebook page.
But the couple didn't spend too much time dwelling on adulthood in the letter to their second daughter. "You have us for that, and we'll do all that we can to ensure the world is a superior place for you and all youngsters in your era", Mark and Priscilla wrote in the letter to their kid.
August is the newest member of the Zuckerberg clan and, much like with her older sister Max, the couple shared an intimate letter along with a photo of their family to welcome her to the world.
Mark wrote the letter to August, which he and Priscilla signed. "That's why it's important to make time to go outside and play", Zuckerberg wrote. "I hope you run as many laps around our living room and yard as you want".
And, like many parents, they expressed hope their new baby would sleep soundly and take frequent naps.
Sharing a long list of hopes and dreams for his second-born, Zuckerberg also added some levity, writing, "I hope you're a great sleeper". Zuckerberg co-founded the company in 2004 and remains as CEO, but will take paternity leave to help care for August.
