Pretty Little Liars Series Recap: Mysterious AD Revealed

Pretty Little Liars Series Recap: Mysterious AD Revealed

"Pretty Little Liars" comes to an end tonight after seven terrifying seasons. It may have ruined the "oh snap" feeling in the finale, but it would've been better to reveal the midseason finale and give us a full ten episodes or so to explore who this person was and why they wanted to do what they did.

Granted, Spencer and Ezra being stuck in an underground bunker that rivaled the dollhouse - and was a handsome Truman Show reference - was pretty dark. When King noticed that we were on to the reveal, then was her time to change it up. In the United States as in France, viewers are rather divided. From there, the teens have to learn to deal with their home lives, school work, love lives, all while trying to figure out who this treacherous "A" is. Instead, I was sucked in for the next seven years. "I know a lot of fans wanted it to be one of the Pretty Little Liars, but I could never justify that being true because the show was always about their unconditional friendship", she said. It turns out, even though her mom buried her alive, Alison was never dead. She revealed. "It's going to be really emotional..." But what they didn't know was, there was another evil twin lurking overseas. But for a long time, people would ask, "Who's A.D.?" However, this Alex Drake hadn't appeared at all throughout the season, so the idea that this twin was actually A.D. did come as a bit of a surprise. She enumerated the reasons why she has been torturing the girls. A fan theory was confirmed as Spencer found herself kidnapped-by her own evil twin.

So all this time we didn't know Spencer had a twin. Aria also told her friends that after her honeymoon with Ezra, they will visit an adoption agency.

The first, and second most shocking, A was none other than a friend of the group and that's why she wasn't suspected - Mona Vanderwaal (Janel Parrish). You're right because it was so much story packed into so little time, but we had to make the most out of these scenes.

Alex was accidentally discovered tending bar by the British doctor Wren Kingston, who once volunteered at Radley and, yes, dated Spencer.

She also described when the cast and crew got the script for the final episode titled "Till Death Do Us Part". As wonderful as it is when you get messages from people saying how much they like your performance, all you have to do is see that one person who's like "This is stupid, I hate you" and it's gut-wrenching. Of course the real Spencer was able to recite the poem that's why Alex was eventually arrested. While she may look like Spencer, she's just as insane as ever.

So I basically just have to accept the fact that the A.D. reveal was a major letdown for the simple fact that tbh, it didn't feel like this plot was as thought out as I'm sure it was. "I would say pay a lot of attention to specific details, little details and schemes with every character".
