Eddie Alvarez's coach Mark Henry says Conor McGregor can knockout Floyd Mayweather

Veteran boxing promoter Bob Arum is willing to do what it takes to make a possible fight happen between eight-division champion Manny Pacquiao and UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor.

Aldo was knocked out in just 13 seconds by McGregor at UFC 194 in December, 2015, in what was the Brazilian's first defeat in nearly a decade.

McGregor believes this move could allow him to make the fight happen without the stamp of approval from UFC president Dana White, but admits it's easier if all were involved.

"If the only impediment to Manny Pacquiao fighting Conor McGregor is because Dana doesn't like me, then I won't be around". Just like McGregor, I'll talk a little (expletive).

The UFC lightweight champion plans to fly out to Las Vegas to meet with Mayweather where he hopes they can come to an agreement. It's like I said, the swing that he has is unbelievable.

"I'm going to go out there".

White and Arum have feuded for years and years, with Arum regularly taking shots at the UFC and mixed martial arts as a whole. "Most likely the fight between me and Conor McGregor will happen", Mayweather told Sky Sports while in attendance at Saturdays WBA welterweight title match between Carl Frampton and Leo Santa Cruz last Saturday. We're getting there. It's closing on it. "I would give Manny the right and the permission to fight Conor McGregor any time the money is right for Manny", he added. I even think he has a chance of knocking out Mayweather if it was in the first three to four rounds. "But I don't love Bob Arum", White said.

Any fight between the pair won't be in the upcoming months as McGregor is planning some time off as he prepares to become a father for the first time.

As the old adage goes - watch this space.
